This work is based in the investigation of ritual, as well as the history and continuity surrounding it. Using the menorah as a stand in for the rituals that we have engaged in throughout human existence, it draws attention to the ways that we build upon tradition, and the ways that the past marks us and influences our development. The artwork is also a functional ritualistic object that will alter the more it is used over the years.
